Support, not a compliance guarantee

What Tech For You supports—and what your food business remains responsible for.

Tech For You provides tools for creating, recording, reviewing, and exporting food-safety information. It does not determine whether a product is legally classified, verify that ingredient data is complete, replace staff training, or guarantee compliance.

Product support and business responsibilities

The platform supports

  • Creating and saving allergen labels from information entered by authorised users.
  • Recording temperature, probe, cleaning, opening, and closing checks where included in the selected plan.
  • Documenting HACCP plans and critical-control monitoring on the Premium plan.
  • Searching records and preparing PDF evidence reports where reporting is included.
  • Separating owner, administrator, and staff access to supported workflows.

Your business remains responsible for

  • Deciding which foods and legal requirements apply to your operation and location.
  • Entering, checking, approving, and keeping ingredient and allergen information current.
  • Emphasising applicable allergens correctly and checking every label before food is offered for sale.
  • Designing appropriate food-safety controls, training staff, responding to exceptions, and maintaining safe practice.
  • Seeking advice from the relevant authority or a qualified adviser when requirements are unclear.

Allergen labelling

Supporting PPDS label preparation

Food Standards Agency guidance states that prepacked for direct sale food in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland must display the food name and a full ingredients list, with allergenic ingredients emphasised. Tech For You can help users prepare and save label information, but the business must decide whether food is PPDS and verify the final label and ingredients.

Food-safety management

Documenting HACCP-based procedures

The Premium plan provides structured HACCP plans and monitoring records. The food business must identify hazards, choose suitable controls and limits, act on problems, review the system, and ensure its procedures remain appropriate for the food and processes involved.
